Conor McGregor recently appeared at a Baseball game where he was given the honor to throw the first pitch. While the Irishman’s left hand is known as a powerful and precise weapon to the UFC fans, his throw was nowhere near the highlight-reel knockouts he comes up with. Another UFC lightweight Tony Ferguson reacted to McGregor’s throw.

‘The Notorious’ missed his throwing target by a bit, to say the least. Ariel Helwani posted a clip of that pitch on social media. Ferguson, who carries a baseball with him more often than not, took note of that and reacted in a cryptic manner with a series of emojis.

It was not the throw that fans might have expected from McGregor. But again, maybe he is designed to throw fight-ending shots with his left hand than baseballs one might assume. Ferguson though might be a better thrower of the baseball probably. He carries that as a weapon with him in case his opponents run, according to the former interim UFC lightweight champion himself.

Conor McGregor vs Tony Ferguson: will a fight ever happen?

McGregor vs Ferguson is a clash that every fan will like to see. Fans expected the duo to clash inside the Octagon way before in time. McGregor was once a two-division UFC champion and Ferguson was the boogeyman of the lightweight division who put together a dominant 12-fight winning streak.

However, both men have fallen from grace in recent years. McGregor has won only once in his last 4 fights in the UFC. Ferguson, on the other hand, is on a 3-fight skid himself. But McGregor still remains the sport’s biggest star. And ‘El Cucuy‘ has grown on to be a fan favorite in the latter stages of his career. Although he has always been someone fans have tuned in to watch due to his fighting style.

So, a fight between the duo is something fans will entertain at any time. If it indeed happens, remains to be seen. But probably it’s better for them to clash in the UFC rather than in Baseball.
