Ali Abdelaziz, the CEO of Dominance MMA, believes his client Marvin Vettori is now a better version of himself. He also claimed that ‘The Italian Dream’ will secure a finish in his upcoming fight.
Marvin Vettori will return to the octagon after his previous loss in the middleweight title fight against Israel Adesanya at UFC 263. He will now take on former title challenger Paulo Costa inside the cage on 23rd October 2021.
Ahead of his fight, Vettori’s manager Ali Abdelaziz appeared in interaction with John Morgan of MMA Junkie. He talked about the various fighters he manages and gave an update on Vettori’s preparations for the fight. He said, “I’m telling you something, the amount of volume he’s throwing. The amount of intensity he’s throwing, this is a new Marvin. I think Marvin is he may have lost his last title fight, but he gained a lot of confidence. He knows he’s 27 years old. He’s still a kid.”

While giving his prediction about the fight, Abdelaziz said, “And I believe Costa is a tough fighter, but I believe he (Vettori) will stop him in three rounds. Too much pressure, too much volume. I think we’re going to see Costa shooting. He’s going to try and wrestle Marvin because. And I think the amount of intensity he’s going to bring into the fight is insane, especially in a small cage. I’m not just saying things to say things. I see it. Normally, the hard work you put in the gym is going to transfer to the cage. And I think we’re going to see a very, very great, fun fight. Marvin by stoppage, under three rounds.”

The Italian fighter middleweight Marvin Vettori is currently #5 on the roster. He has a 7-3 record in the UFC. However, most of his wins in the promotion have come via decision. He has only two finishes, both came via submission. He is yet to secure a knockout win in the UFC.
On the other hand, his upcoming opponent Paulo Costa was undefeated in the promotion until he met Israel Adesanya at UFC 253. He is 5-1 in the division and has secured four of his wins via knockout. He also has a total of eleven knockouts in his MMA career.

Given the records, it won’t be a walk in the park for ‘The Italian Dream’ to stop Costa on his feet. However, if Vettori is able to take ‘The Eraser’ on the mat, he might have a chance to pull off a submission.
Considering Costa’s previous wins, which came within the first 3 rounds of the fight, he might have his moment early. Hence, it won’t be easy for the Italian to carry him to the mat. However, it will be exciting to witness ‘The Italian Dream’ find a way to neutralize Costa.
