Alexander Volkanovski showed his confidence while he spoke with Makhachev’s corner in the middle of the fight. The fans were treated to a rare sight with the Australian trash-talking with coach Javier Mendez and co. while grappling with the Dagestani fighter. The fans have reacted to a post on the internet captioned, “Volk was on one last night”.

One fan commented on the post, “Islam won with the Judges, Volk won with the fans.” A social media user said, “His confidence level was actually insane last night”.

One Instagram user added, “Volk can be 5ft6 but his confidence is sky high.” While a fan added, “Volks ability to escape was impressive”.

Following the main event of UFC 284, Volkanovski replied to a reporter on the question of a rematch. The UFC featherweight champion said, “I’ll watch the fight and see what it was like.”

Furthermore, he revealed that he heard rumors, “I’m hearing that he [Makhachev] was saying, I heard, we spoke, could be wrong that he was going back to his corner saying he wants a rematch. Because he thought he lost. So. That’s funny. I’m gonna jump on that. Rematch”.
