Daniel Cormier is one of the most beloved and consummate professionals in the UFC. After his reign in the heavyweight and light heavyweight divisions, the former fighter now graces the commentary team with his presence. However, sometimes even a professional can decide to just let things go.
Cormier doesn’t only comment on the UFC; the former two-divisional champion is also known for his opinion of the NCAA tournament. Being an Olympic wrestler, his prowess and understanding of wrestling are well known, and perhaps this is the last time he’ll comment on the tournament. Why?

Daniel Cormier recently joined the commentary team for the NCAA. He has formerly also participated in the wrestling tournament, and now, after years of outwrestling opponents, perhaps he’s fit to be the one to do the commentary on it all, but after a fan complained about his way of doing things, ‘DC’ called it quits on X.
Guys im out. This will be my last time doing the NcAA tournament. Continue to do things the same way and stay wrestling that hasn’t changed since the 40’s. I told the general public to watch a guy told me he’d rather tear his eyes out than watch. So enjoy. I’ll finish tonight… https://t.co/QP3tAMcdzN

Clearly, sometimes complaints might just get to you. Daniel Cormier has been a mainstay in the UFC for a very long time now and is often found next to Joe Rogan on the commentary desk. Thankfully for the fans of the fighter and the promotion, ‘DC’ is still an active part of the commentary team.
Back at NCAA Division 1, Cormier was presented with a nice little moment when he met fellow UFC star, Ben Askren. The little interaction between the two was instantly humorous with Cormier promising a beating on Askren as he tried his best to perform.

Ben Askren is a former welterweight from the UFC and also happens to be a former Olympian who was on the 2008 U.S. team. At NCAA division 1, Daniel Cormier met Askren once again and didn’t hesitate before calling him out just for the fun of it.
“I’ll come up there and kick your a**. I’ll come up there and whip you”. He said jokingly much to Askren’s amusement. He even made fun of his outfit and general style later on and all everyone could do was laugh. Certainly, ‘DC’ manages to light up things wherever he goes. Unfortunately, this would be his last at NCAA if we are to believe his words. Meanwhile, even though he hasn’t decided to leave working at the UFC just yet, he’s been accused of biased commentary there as well.

Cormier comes from AKA Gym and was accused of being biased in the favor of his teammates. “I’ve noticed and my friends have noticed that as much as people say you’re going to be biased towards a person that you care about, I tend to go the other direction, which is unfair to my guy,” Cormier said in an interview with MMA Fighting. “But they understand and I try to call the fight as best I can.” What do you think about Cormier’s defense?
