There hasn’t been another UFC fighter in the promotion more obsessed with former President Donald Trump than Colby Covington. There is no doubt that Trump is easily one of the people Covington looks up to the most.

Donald John Trump, the 45th president of the United States of America, was in the seat of power for one term. A businessman prior, Trump was very popular among celebrities. And a week ago, Colby Covington had some words to say about the former president at the UFC 272 post-fight press conference. 

Mr. 45 President Trump. Greatest President in history… Our f*cking country is going to sh*t right now without him,” stated Covington when asked about when he last talked to the former president.

He further continued, “So we need him back in 2024. Trump 2024, and you know he’s gonna come back and make America great again.” Covington has always been vocal about the former president and, more often than not, dons the signature ‘Make America great again‘ cap.

Colby Covington and Donald Trump: Friends or Acquaintances? 

Covington and Donald Trump know each other personally. Covington remains the only American UFC champ ever to visit the White House into the Oval office.

Covington has made many public statements about Donald Trump and has repeatedly called him the greatest living American of the United States. Moreover, Colby Covington also is an avid supporter of the American troops.

Although Donald Trump has previously supported both Jorge Masvidal and Covington to further their careers, but was not in attendance for UFC 272 due to him working on his platform and campaigning for 2024.

Covington stated that he was in touch with the Trump family and was notified that he wouldn’t be able to make it to the event.
