Tyron Woodley Says Jake Paul Will Be a ’Real Fighter’ if He Manages to Beat Him

Ever since Jake Paul fought against Ben Askren and won the fight. ‘The Problem child’ has been constantly calling out various MMA stars including Conor McGregor, Tyron Woodley, and Daniel Cormier. Paul even got into an altercation with Daniel Cormier at the UFC 261 event.

Now finally former UFC champion Tyron Woodley talked about Paul and called him out for a fight. During a recent interview with Ariel Helwani, ‘The Chosen One’ talked about how he believes Paul is a superb athlete but not a fighter.

“I like it, it’s a show. I get it but like fight me then. If you really want to fight somebody, you wanna say you beat somebody. Fight a world champion, fight somebody that actually you know will get in your face and make it real for you. Then if you beat me, you can really say you are a fighter.”

‘The Problem Child’ is 3-0 in his professional career. He knocked out one of the best MMA fighters of all time in his last fight.

However, many still believe that Paul is just not at the top level and Askren’s lack of striking capabilities was the reason for his loss.

The altercation between Woodley and Paul started at the fight between Askren and Paul. Woodley was cornering his close friend ‘Funky,’ and following standard practice, went to Paul’s dressing room to watch him put on his gloves.

Will a fight between Tyron Woodley and Jake Paul actually happen?

Many sources have reported that a fight between Woodley and Paul is set to happen and it will be made official soon. Mike Coppinger of The Athletic recently took to Twitter to share the news.

He wrote, “Sources: Jake Paul and former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley have agreed to a deal for a boxing match. Jake recently signed a multi-fight deal with Showtime.
