The UFC heavyweight division might be in for a new surprise entry as Tyson Fury has just called out Francis Ngannou on his Instagram story. However, it’s more likely that the fight would take place inside a boxing ring rather than the octagon.
He uploaded Mike Tyson’s post on his story with the caption, “Mike Tyson after I smash Anthony Joshua, I’ll roast that guy also. Francis Ngannou.”
Mike Tyson’s original post was a photo of him holdings hands with Ngannou. Tyson also added an “easy work” on Ngannou for good measure.

This would make headlines around the world. Currently, it is widely believed that Anthony Joshua will be Fury’s next opponent. They have signed a 2-fight deal, but a lot of factors are yet to be agreed upon. In fact, neither the venue nor the date has been finalized yet.
This will be a title unification bout as Fury is the WBC champion. On the other hand, Joshua holds the WBA, IBF, and WBO titles. If Fury does win this fight, he’ll have a claim to be the greatest heavyweight in the history of the sport.
Additionally, a fight between the UFC heavyweight champion and the WBC, WBA, IBF, and WBO title-holder has never happened before. This fight might even break the record for the pay-per-view numbers, and boxing is having a problem with those recently.
Francis Ngannou and his rise to the top of the UFC heavyweight division

It was their second meeting after Miocic dominated Ngannou in their initial bout. However, Ngannou learned from that fight and went on a 4-fight winning streak before he fought for the title.

Ngannou’s two consecutive losses (the second one coming against Derrick Lewis in a snoozefest) helped him become a mature fighter and calmed him down.
