That said, the fight community has already picked their sides in the matchup. Israel Adesanya is leading the odds on papers, but his rival Paulo Costa has all the chances to land a stunner. Meanwhile, lightweight contender Dan Hooker has just intensified the tale with his latest prediction.

Although Costa is a tough opponent, ‘Hangman’ believes that ‘The Last Stylebender’ will stop him and defend his middleweight title at UFC 253.

Dan Hooker picks Israel Adesanya over Paulo Costa

Hooker connected with Submission Radio to discuss several things going over in the promotion. Being a  New Zealander and Adesanya’s teammate, there’s no way he could stop himself from jumping into the inevitable debate of UFC 253, especially when his fellow native is headlining the PPV.

Predicting a possible outcome, Hooker said, “I think the best bet will be Israel, like my money my actual bet down is on Israel stopping them in the third, fourth or fifth round. I think Israel is TKO ing him.

“I feel he is going to stop him later in the fight in the third, fourth or fifth, so that’s where my money is set”

No matter how much dominant Costa proves to be, Dan Hooker believes that it will be an easy night for Adesanya.

“Israel, easiest fight of the night, I think he is going to bash Costa. I think it is going to be a one-sided ass-whooping,” said Hooker. To justify his statement, he further said that Costa is a slow striker.

The entire world will watch when the undefeated middleweights will collide. However, UFC 253 holds a lot more in store. Returning to Fight Island, Dana White and the team have also staged the light heavyweight title fight in the co-main event. Jan Blachowicz and Dominick Reyes will fight for the title, which Jon Jones vacated which a few months ago.
