UFC 259: Amanda Lemos vs Livinha Souza Added to the Fight Card

A women’s strawweight bout has been added to the UFC 259 card. Brazilian duo Livinha Souza and Amanda Lemos are set to go at each other.

This will be Souza’s 5th UFC bout. She has managed to win 3 of his 4 outings to the Octagon. As for Lemos, she has been triumphant twice in his 3 UFC appearances. The loss to Leslie Smith in 2017 is her only professional loss so far.
This will be Souza’s back to back pay-per-view appearance. She defeated Ashley Yoder at UFC 252. Souza is a ground expert having won 8 of his bouts by the way of submission.

Lemos prefers to strike and has 5 TKO victories to show for it. This will be her first-ever pay-per-view appearance. Albeit at 33, Lemos is the elder fighter, but she has considerably less experience than her counterpart Souza. She last defeated Mizuki Inoue in August 2020.
The UFC 259 card is already totally stacked. There are 3 title fights booked already. Jan Blachowicz will defend his light-heavyweight belt against Israel Adesanya. Amanda Nunes will defend her featherweight gold against Megan Anderson. And, Petr Yan is set to defend her bantamweight title against Aljamain Sterling in a mouth-watering clash.
