This fight will mark the second time that William Knight and Alonzo Menifield have been booked to fight, but both times, the fight has failed to materialize. However, that has opened the door for the recently anointed LFA light heavyweight champion Fabio Cherant to step in.

He will want to make a good impression in his debut, and he holds an impressive professional record of 7-1. He has a well-rounded game which enables him to be good on both, the ground and on his feet. After everything is said and done, he’s still a relative newcomer in the sport.
He has fought 8 times in his professional career, and his only loss came via a knockout. He has won 2 fights via a decision, and the rest of his victories have come via submission.
Fighting on the preliminary card of such a big event is a huge opportunity for the debutant; however, it will be interesting to see if he can keep up with the pressure.

Alonzo Menifield: Fighting style and career
On the other side of the octagon, Alonzo Menifield is no slouch either. He has fought in Bellator and LFA prior to the UFC. He also has a great record of 9-2. His losses came via a decision followed by a knockout at the hands of Ovince Saint Preux in his last fight.

Menifield is on a 2-fight losing streak, but Cherant shouldn’t underestimate him. None of his victories have gone the distance, and of his 9 wins, 8 are knockout victories. He submitted one of his opponents, and hence, fans should expect an electrifying match.

While Cherant would be trying to go for his submissions, he has to be wary of Menifield’s knockout power and prowess. Additionally, Menifield has also fought at heavyweight and is undefeated in the division in his professional MMA career.
