Sean O’Malley is back with a bang as the bantamweight contender earned a spectacular knockout finish of Thomas Almeida. ‘Sugar’ suffered the first loss of his professional career at UFC 252 against Marlon Vera. Veteran middleweight contender Derek Brunson seemingly took the advice as he tweeted before the fight that he is looking to bet the house on Almeida.

Well, O’Malley proved his merit in the fight as one might argue he finished Almeida twice in the fight. O’Malley dropped his opponent in the 1st round of the fight as the contest could have been stopped then.

Im betting the house on Thomas Almeida. Let’s see if I’ll be homeless by the end of the night !” wrote Brunson on Twitter. That certainly didn’t escape O’Malley’s attention as he proceeded to provide a hilarious response. “I got an extra room at the crib,” ‘Sugar’ replied.

Many counted O’Malley out, disregarding him as a legitimate contender in the 135lbs division of the UFC after his loss to Vera. However, one might argue that the loss was a bit unfortunate for ‘Sugar’ as a nerve issue caused his legs to buckle.

But he put all those doubts to bed with his signature performance against Almeida. It was a masterclass in short. O’Malley put all his skills to full display against a tough and established contender of the division.
