Jorge Masvidal will fight Kamaru Usman this weekend at UFC 261 in a rematch for the undisputed welterweight gold. Ahead of this fight, Masvidal’s former best friend and training partner, Colby Covington, took to social media to troll ‘Gamebred’. ‘Chaos’ posted a picture of him alongside who he claimed was Masvidal’s wife.

However, per the tag in the image, the lady present in the photo was not Iman Kawa, who is widely known as Masvidal’s wife. The Miami native keeps his personal life private and doesn’t reveal things about the same in public.

In a chat with The Schmo, ‘Chaos’ claimed that Maritza is the mother of Jorge’s children, not Iman Kawa. Covington trashed the media for saying Kawa is Masvidal’s wife. He said she is actually the sister of Masvidal’s managers.

Covington claimed Maritza is actually legally married to Masvidal and has two kids with him, but surprisingly no information about her is available on the internet.

Jorge Masvidal vs Colby Covington: an inevitable fight?

Covington and Masvidal were expected to clash inside the Octagon this year after their relationship took a major dip last year. From being roommates and training partners, the duo went off on each other to exchange harsh words. Hence, give their position in the rankings, it seems a matter of time before they eventually fight.

If Masvidal wins this weekend, Covington will be in line to challenge him for the belt. It makes for a great storyline and will add to the anticipation of the fans.
