UFC 287 enthralled the MMA world with the huge amount of action and drama that unfolded. Israel Adesanya finally scored a win against his arch-enemy, Alex Pereira. Jorge Masvidal, a very seasoned professional of the sport, retired from the UFC following his loss against Gilbert Burns. Raul Rojas Jr. who was being touted as the next big thing had to taste his first loss in the UFC. With all this drama unfolding in the cage, Michael Chandler could not keep calm and tweeted how the event was making him feel like fighting.

While this part may have not created a lot of ruckuses, the following part got a stern response from Conor McGregor, who never shies away from a Twitter battle. Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler are currently opposition coaches in The Ultimate Fighter, season 31.

It is also widely speculated that Conor McGregor may fight Michael Chandler at some point this year. Thus Michael Chandler must have expected a strong reply when he named Conor McGregor in his tweet. It appears that UFC 287 and especially the main event ignited a lot of rivalry and fire. While Michael Chandler tossed a challenge towards Conor McGregor, ‘Mystic Mac’ himself looked interested in a “quadrilogy” fight after watching Alex Pereira and Israel Adesanya settle the fourth edition of their rivalry. Conor McGregor tweeted “Quadrilogy’s are fun”.

The simple tweet gave way to speculations from fans that Conor McGregor wanted to renew his rivalry with Dustin Poirier. The two have faced each other thrice in the cage. While Conor McGregor has earned 1 win in the three fights, he lost twice.
