Aljamain Sterling wants to take Kattar back to Max Holloway

Aljamain Sterling is all set to go up against the featherweight sensation at UFC 300. And among his plans is to make sure Calvin Kattar faces the strikes he has coming for him. Sterling also has great wrestling skills which he also intends to use.

The Max Holloway match is legendary for several reasons. Holloway got genuinely hyped up by the end of the match and began landing insane strikes proclaiming himself the “best boxer” in the UFC. He even landed a hand while dodging Kattar without even looking at him.

In a recent X post, Sterling showed his interest to try and take the fighter back to that day. “When I get my hands on Calvin, [people are going to be] very surprised. You can’t hit what you can’t touch, I think that’s gonna be the theme of the fight,” he said on his YouTube channel.

“I’m tryna make it look as close to the Max Holloway fight as possible, and of course I’m gonna use my wrestling where I need to use my wrestling.” Clearly, the former bantamweight champion is set to bring all the heat he can to the fight. Meanwhile, Max Holloway has his own battle to win.

Max Holloway is also on the main card at UFC 300. He will be going up against Justin Gaethje for the highly controversial BMF belt. BMF matches are often filled with brawls, knuckles, split lips, and so much more. In that essence, Holloway going up against “hit like a truck” Justin Gaethje is an electrifying matchup.

Holloway has lost all his title fights against Alexander Volkanovski and now, perhaps it’s time for him to look for something else, something like the BMF belt. Meanwhile, the featherweight belt too has exchanged owners. Will Holloway return to contest for it against Ilia Topuria if he fails to get the BMF belt? If not, who’s going to be his first title defense? Any predictions?
