Max Holloway is firing on all cylinders ahead of his clash with Justin Gaethje for the ‘BMF’ title at UFC 300. Gaethje secured the BMF belt when he knocked out Dustin Poirier at UFC 291 in 2023. And a recent update from Holloway seems to have grabbed the fans’ attention, and all for the right reasons.

The first man to lay his claim to the belt which is awarded to the ‘most action-packed’ fighter on the roster was Jorge Masvidal when he defeated Nate Diaz in 2019. And now for the upcoming clash, Holloway will be moving up to the 155 lbs. division, higher than his usual weight class of featherweight or 145 lbs. This is not the first time Holloway has challenged a fighter in a higher weight division as back in 2019, he faced Dustin Poirier for the interim UFC lightweight championship at UFC 236.

He lost the fight via a unanimous decision and many fans and experts felt that Holloway was at a disadvantage due to the size difference between him and Poirier. As such, a recent Instagram post shared by Full Violence highlighted a picture of Holloway looking significantly bigger than his usual featherweight physique.

The image was captioned, “Max is filling up to lightweight”, and the fans flooded the comment section with their responses to the transformation on display. The community expressed their shock at his muscular physique. Known for his dominance in the featherweight division, Holloway’s recent transformation has left fans in awe.
