As such, during a recent Q&A on his Instagram story, Conor McGregor was asked by a fan about his opinion of UFC 300. The Irish MMA icon responded by stating, “I love it! They done a tremendous job under difficult timing. Highly impressed. Some absolute cracking fights on the card.”

And he’s not wrong about the fights as the event features a clash between Justin Gaethje and Max Holloway for the BMF title, the aforementioned bout for the light heavyweight title between ‘Poatan’ and Jamahal Hill, along with multiple fan favorites like Calvin Kattar, Charles Oliveira and Jiri Prochazka all set to light up the event with their fights!

Overall, McGregor’s positive remarks reflect the anticipation and excitement surrounding UFC 300, promising an unforgettable night of thrilling fights for fans worldwide. On a side note, it also shows that he holds no ill will against his boss for not giving him the main spot on the card, as many expected would happen.

But during the same Q&A session on social media, ‘The Notorious’ also revealed that he is frustrated with the delays in his comeback to the cage!

McGregor reveals testing update and frustration with fight confirmation

Conor McGregor has recently expressed his frustrations with not being able to fight sooner. In a previous interview, Dana White had indicated that the UFC was hoping to secure his return “in the fall” of this year.

However, in a recent post on his Instagram story, the Irishman stated, “Still holding hope for June 29, lack of action on it, however, is now causing lack of enthusiasm. I need a decision soon. I am the most tested athlete under this new regime. Yet no date to fight.”

His comments indicate that while his previous issues with athlete testing that had hindered his scheduled clash with Michael Chandler last year after TUF 31 have been addressed, there is still doubt about a concrete date for the matchup.

As fans eagerly await McGregor’s comeback, his recent update has shown that the ball remains in the UFC and Dana White’s court to finalize the details and provide McGregor with the opportunity to step back into the spotlight of the Octagon. It would be proverbial to see him headline UFC’s International Fight Week on his return, since it was at the same event in 2021 that he suffered his leg break.
