UFC CEO Dana White recently bolstered the UFC 300 card with a title fight. Strawweight champion Zhang Weili will defend her title against another Chinese contender in an All-China championship bout. Regardless, fans did not seem to be too excited about this fight and sounded off on White on social media.

UFC 300 already has some big names fighting on the card. The pay-per-view will feature fighters like Charles Oliveira, Jiri Prochazka, and even Bo Nickal. If that wasn’t enough, Dana White made another addition to the PPV. Let’s see what the UFC boss has in mind for the triple-century event.

Dana White adds strawweight title fight to UFC 300

The UFC CEO took to social media, as usual, and added yet another fight for UFC 300. Strawweight champion Zhang Weili, who’s defended her belt twice so far, will go head-to-head against fellow countrywoman, Yan Xiaonan. White said, “Weili Zhang faces number one contender Yan Xiaonan for the UFC strawweight title on UFC 300 and this is the first time two Chinese contenders have faced off for a world title.”

Dana White also promised to make more announcements in the coming days, to add a couple of more fights to the historic April PPV. “So, there’s one of the title fights for UFC 300. I will have at least two or more [fights] for you tomorrow,” the 54-year-old added. However, the fans did not seem too excited and were quick to chime in the comments section of White’s post to express their displeasure.

Fans are not pleased with White’s fight announcement

The fans were not happy with the announcement of the strawweight title fight. They were expecting more exciting news from Dana White. They were hoping to see Zhang Weili fight Alexa Grasso, something that both fighters agreed to do earlier.

Some fans demanded that Dana White should replace Yan Xiaonan with Alexa Grasso. They don’t seem to care about the announced strawweight title fight.

Many were angry that Dana White made them wait so long for the announcement of the strawweight title fight. They believe that UFC 300 may not live up to the hype.
