UFC 300 Payout for Weili Zhang and Yan Xiaonan: How Much Are the Chinese Stars Getting Paid?
Follow Us
UFC 300 is upon us and with it, some of the biggest fights the promotion has ever seen on a single card. That’s right, the main card features multiple championship fights and one of the most exciting ones is the strawweight title fight between reigning champion Zhang Weili and contender Yan Xiaonan.
Zhang Weili has been a powerful champion but has also lost her grip on the title before regaining it. Now, she will be fighting Xiaonan who also happens to be a Chinese fighter. Not to forget, Weili was the first Chinese fighter to ever be champion in the promotion.
Being a champion has it’s own perks. Moreover, UFC head honcho Dana White has already promised a bonus of about $300,000 for fighters long as they deliver a performance worth the money. Clearly, things are going well for the fighters on the card but how well is it for the two Chinese nationals?

Let’s keep in mind, Weili is the defending UFC gold. That puts her way up with the other champions where she could bag about $2 million on her way home after the pay-per-view ends. All of this has to do with her high base salary as well as the PPV points.

Unfortunately, the story isn’t the same for her Chinese opponent, Yan Xiaonan who recently secured a brilliant victory over Jessica Andrade to earn the title shot. Xiaonan will most likely earn just about $290,000 for her UFC 300 bout but that is not the end of it all.
Zhang Weili and Xiaonan have a shot at the $300,000
As many might know by now, White was recently asked to raise the bonuses to $300,000 for the Fight of The Night and Performance of The Night honors. These, awarded to the best of the night are no joke and were merely about $50,000 previously.

Zhang Weili and Yan Xiaonan are both highly skilled and powerful fighters who could both easily put up a show to get either one of the two bonuses. Moreover, if Xiaonan manages to clinch the title away from Weili, this would only mean bigger pays going forward.
