Magomed Ankalaev calls for a title shot at UFC 300

An MMA reporter revealed what Ankalaev has in mind for the title shot, as he recently wrote a tweet that stated, “Magomed Ankalaev says he is willing to headline UFC 300 against Alex Pereira if needed”.

And in the post-fight press conference, Magomed Ankalaev had quite a bold callout for Alex Pereira. He claimed that he could’ve taken Walker down in the fight and finished him with ground and pounds, but wished to send the champion a message by finishing Walker standing up.

He sent a message to Glover Teixeira not to waste his time teaching Pereira Wrestling as he stated, “He’s not going to need it. I’m going to come out there, I’m going to stand across from him.” He also brought up his knockout loss against Israel Adesanya at middleweight and seems confident to be able to finish the fight if they fight.

The matchup is quite intriguing given how both fighters have impressively fared against their opponents since joining the UFC banner. However, would Pereira accept the callout?
