Undefeated UFC welterweight Jacobe Smith improved his record to 13-0 tonight by earning a technical knockout victory over UFC debutant Bruce Whitehead at UFC 332 inside the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. But despite Smith’s impressive display, his win was marred by a blatant low blow that infuriated the fans.

Both fighters started the fight trading some blows, but Smith didn’t waste much time taking it straight into the clinch. During the exchange, the 30-year-old landed a huge knee to his opponent’s groin that stalled the fight for quite some time. Whitehead ultimately decided to continue, and that proved costly for him.
Smith immediately closed the distance, slammed him to the ground, and started landing massive shots from back mount. The UFC debutant offered no response to Smith’s strikes, and that was enough for the referee to stop the fight, giving the Oklahoma native a first-round TKO victory at the 1:32 mark.
Though Jacobe Smith preserved his undefeated record at UFC 332, fans weren’t particularly thrilled about him landing a groin strike and then capitalizing on it to secure a knockout victory, and they didn’t hold back in showing their backlash toward the UFC fighter.

That hurts even looking at it….#UFC332
I feel like Bruce Whitehead chose to fight on to impress the UFC matchmakers… but bro, they don’t care. Dude should have taken the No Contest. Absolutely no one would have blamed him, and he would have been rebooked against an easier opponent. #UFC332
Jacobe Smith finishes Bruce Whitehead in Round 1 at UFC 332. 😳 MTFKR is celebrating like that NASTY LOW BLOW didn’t help him win. 🤡
Tough to compete after a nut shot like that. Not taking anything away from Jacobe
Broooo Jacobe Smith just hit the worst low blow I’ve ever seen in my life this fight is probably over 😳 knee right to the b—s #UFC332
I like Jacobe Smith but I’m not impressed at all. He beat up a dude who was already diminished from a brutal nut shot and he was a -2000 favorite to do it. He needs a step up because this matchmaking was a joke. #UFC332
