UFC Announces Huge Flyweight Fight! Amanda Ribas Takes On Virna Jandiroba at UFC 267

Per reports, the UFC has added a strawweight bout between Amanda Ribas and Virna Jandiroba to the UFC 267 main card on October 30th, 2021, in Abu Dhabi. The UFC is yet to announce the entire card for the event. Meanwhile, MMA Junkie broke out the news on their official Twitter page.

Both the strawweights share the same nationality. However, their fighting styles differ from each other. The 27-year-old Ribas is a black belt in Judo and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Whereas Jandiroba is a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Amanda Ribas hasn’t entered the octagon since her last defeat at UFC 257. Meanwhile, Jandiroba is coming off a win over Kanako Murata. This battle between both the Brazilians is surely going to be a stunning one.

The (10-2) record holder Amanda Ribas will return to the octagon for the first time since losing to Marina Rodriguez.

Currently #11 in the women’s strawweight division, Ribas has a suitable career so far with 3 T/KO and four submission wins. She was on a four-fight UFC win streak ahead of her bout on Fight Island earlier this year.

Jandiroba faced a devastating loss in her first UFC match, however, she bounced back with a few impressive wins. The (17-2) record holder is a submission expert with thirteen wins via submission under her name. ‘Carcara’, the 13th ranked UFC strawweight, was on an impressive fourteen-win streak before she entered the UFC. She will look to use the fight against her compatriot to kick start a similar run.
