UFC Champion Confirmed to Be in Marvel’s Black Panther 2: “I Don’t Know if I Am Supposed to Tell You That?”

Former UFC double champion pulled off a Mark Ruffalo. The UFC star revealed a secret from the upcoming Marvel movie Black Panther on the official UFC weigh-ins show. While doing a fun segment – UFC fighters as superheroes, a former MMA athlete couldn’t resist but reveal a current UFC champion playing the part in the next Black Panther movie.

It’s not Marvel’s Hulk actor Mark Ruffalo but the former UFC double champion Daniel Cormier who revealed, on the live stream, that the first Nigerian UFC champion Kamaru Usman will play a role in the upcoming Black Panther movie.

The pound-for-pound number one fighter in the world had requested to be in the movie earlier. In a conversation with Joe Rogan, Usman had talked about his wish to star in the epic Marvel movie. And now it has come to fruition.

While matching UFC fighters as superheroes, the host pitched the upcoming Marvel movie release, Cormier asked the rest of the people in the weigh-in show, “You know who’s in there?”

“Kamaru Usman; Kamaru Usman is in the new Black Panther movie… I don’t know if I’m supposed to tell you guys that,” said Cormier.

Another interesting point came out from the show when the fan-favorite former UFC dual weight champion disclosed his list. Cormier went with all Marvel superheroes.

He had Colby Covington as Captain America; Valentina Shevchenko as Black Widow. And for Black Panther, the Olympian went with the UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou.

So, moments after revealing the pound-for-pound king’s presence in the next part of one of the most successful movies in North America and around the world, Louisiana athlete snubbed ‘The Nigerian Nightmare‘ as the potential king of the Wakanda-based Marvel adventure. Although, with the bond Usman shares with Ngannou, he wouldn’t mind it.

Ngannou is also a big Black Panther fan. ‘The Predator’ had recently promoted the teaser of the Marvel movie with a reaction on his Twitter account.
