UFC women’s flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko took to Twitter and expressed her condolences after the death of a close friend and famous podcast host John Bartolo. The famous American radio anchor and podcaster passed away on March 5 because of a major heart attack.

‘Bullet’ posted a picture with him on her official Twitter account and added a fundraiser link to raise funds for his funeral. She wrote, “Heartbreaking RIP, my dear friend!”

He had a YouTube channel where he posted interviews with notable personalities from the defense, MMA, and bodybuilding industries. Shevchenko had appeared as a guest on the show.

Valentina Shevchenko might return against Taila Santos at UFC 275

‘Bullet’, for her absolutely stunning performances and dominance in the division, is regarded as one of the greatest female fighters by many UFC fans and pundits. The champion has defeated almost every fighter on the flyweight roster. Hence, it is hard to think of an opponent for her next title defense.

According to reports made by MMA Fighting, the UFC is targeting a women’s flyweight title fight for UFC 275. This fight could see Shevchenko fight Taila Santos in June 2022.

The Brazilian female fighter made her UFC debut in 2018. She has only one setback in the promotion and is currently on a four-fight undefeated streak. Although many have failed to defeat ‘Bullet’ for over three years now, it will be exciting to see how this match-up comes out.
