Blaydes has been vocal about issues regarding the UFC and its personalities. One such instance is about fighter pay in the promotion. He stated that he wouldn’t stop talking about fighter pay even if Dana White didn’t like it.
UFC fighters and other personalities have recently spoken out about Joe Rogan‘s controversy in these past few months. With a divided view of his actions, Blaydes also supported the podcast host.
“I believe it was a bit of overkill,” Blaydes said in an exclusive interview with LowKick MMA “I think everyone wants to show how woke they are, and it’s admirable. Like, I get it, but sometimes it’s not that big of a deal.”
He continued, “I think he was just using the word. He shouldn’t use the word again,” Blaydes concluded. “I don’t think he should be using it, but I don’t think he’s racist, and I don’t think he was intending on hurting anyone’s feelings. So, I’m not angry. I stay by Joe Rogan.“

The ‘Razor’ believes that Joe Rogan’s controversy surrounding the issue was blown out of proportion. He believes that people in general such refrain from sensitive topics and comments, but in the case of Joe Rogan, Blaydes didn’t think he meant to hurt anyone’s sentiments or feelings.

The next step in the Heavyweight division for Curtis Blaydes
Fans largely speculated that Jon Jones‘ return to the octagon would be against Francis Ngannou or Stipe Miocic for the UFC heavyweight title. However, the ‘Razor’ threw the speculation out of the window at the UFC Columbus. This was due to a post-fight call out to Ciryl Gane for an interim title as his next fight.
