Conor McGregor‘s return is having the MMA world excited. Ever since the news of ‘The Notorious’ coming back in action in ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ as a coach, the MMA world is sent into a frenzy. Following TUF, McGregor is expected to face Michael Chandler in his return to the UFC octagon. Moreover, the former UFC champion might have picked a much tougher challenge for his return than what he could have opted for. According to a UFC commentator, ‘The Notorious’ could have picked Tony Ferguson as his next opponent over Michael Chandler for his return. Furthermore, the UFC commentator also provided a reason why Ferguson’s fight made sense for the Irishman.
Michael Bisping shares his point of view after Conor McGregor snubbed Tony Ferguson
Michael Bisping spoke about Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler’s upcoming TUF faceoff. The UFC commentator spoke highly of ‘The Notorious’ and gave his insights into the potential fight. The former UFC middleweight champion added, “There was easier fights for him to take”. Bisping continued, “There was a rumor that McGregor was going to go up against Tony Ferguson.”

The former Middleweight champion added, “Tony Ferguson would have been, with respect to Tony, kind of a more winnable fight. Even though Tony and Chandler went up against one another and Tony started it well, it ended up getting front kicked into oblivion. So it’s a tough fight for McGregor.”
Bisping further stated that Conor McGregor is not coming back for a big payday against Michael Chandler. However, the former UFC champion believes that he finds Chandler a more challenging opponent for McGregor

Michael Bisping referred to Chandler’s bout against Ferguson at UFC 274 where ‘Iron Mike’ landed a front kick to finish Ferguson. Furthermore, Bisping is of the opinion that Ferguson would have been a much easier fight for the former double champion.

Chandler was the first to dismiss Ferguson and McGregor rumor
Chandler in Michael Bisping’s podcast cleared that Ferguson and McGregor going up against each other in The Ultimate Fighter was all but a rumor. Furthermore, he also said that UFC is just throwing things in the open.
The former Bellator MMA champion revealed, “That was definitely just a tweet.” Furthermore, the UFC lightweight added, “I know for sure that was definitely just a tweet thrown out there to see if it gained attraction… Tony Ferguson is just throwing stuff out there. That’s been in the talks”.
