UFC fans lauded the undisputed UFC bantamweight champion, Aljamain Sterling, for his acting skills in connection to his victory at UFC 259. This came after the champion asked the American rapper 50 Cent for an acting role on the television show “Power” after his win in the recent rematch.

‘Funk Master’ went against all odds at UFC 273 last weekend. After many delays, he finally met the former champion, Petr Yan, for the second time inside the cage. The Russian fighter was a heavy favorite going into the fight.

However, ‘Funk Master’ displayed amazing grappling skills, which gave him a nod from the judges. Sterling won the fight and retained his bantamweight gold via a spilt decision.

Later, in his octagon interview, the champion called out TJ Dillashaw and also shoot his shot to 50 Cent for an acting role on the television show “Power.” He said, “50 Cent get me strapped put me in the next power universe. I am a time actor. So everybody here knows that already.”

One user scripted an entire conversation between Sterling and the producer. He wrote, “Aljo: “I want this role. Please let me be a part of it!” Producer: “Can you even act, dude?” Aljo: “Didn’t you followed my first fight with Peter Yan?” Producer: “Oh yes, that performance was flawless, even I believed it” Aljo: “I think if I start in this show, two years down, I’m gonna hold my speach at the Oscars, bro…”

Another user wrote, “We all know he can act.”

A user claimed that the former champion might get his belt back. He wrote, “2023- Yan will take the belt back.”

What happened at UFC 259: Aljamain Sterling vs. Petr Yan

‘Funk Master’ took on the Russian fighter and then champion ‘No Mercy’ for the bantamweight gold at UFC 259. The latter dominated the fight for most of the rounds.

However, in the fourth round, ‘No Mercy’ landed a knee on Sterling while the latter was grounded. This is an illegal move in the UFC. Consequently, Yan lost the fight and his belt.

However, many fans believed that ‘Funk Master’ exaggerated a bit more after the impact. Ever since then, Sterling has been called out for his DQ at UFC 259. However, ‘Funk Master’ has shut many of his naysayers after his improved performance in the rematch at UFC 273.
