Brandon Moreno and Deiveson Figueiredo met each other in a trilogy fight at the co main-event of UFC 270. Both men went back and forth throughout the fight and kept the fans on the edge of their seats. Figueiredo definitely looked better than his previous fight and kept the pressure on the champion.

However, it was not the fight that the MMA community was talking about at the end. As the judges gave the win to the Brazilian via a unanimous decision, it came as a shock to many. Hence, they took to Twitter to give their reaction.

Most of the fans leaned towards Moreno getting robbed.

One fan said, @UFC is so corrupt its embarrassing. There’s no way Figueiredo did enough to take the belt away from Moreno, but Dana wanted a 4th fight. Business result.”

There was a fan that thought Figueiredo didn’t do enough and the champion’s advantage should’ve gone to Moreno.

However, not everyone looked at it the same way. One fan pointed out that Moreno got dropped three times, and that is what swung the decision.

Whatever the fans think, it was a great fight. Both men put on a show and the new champion even called for a fourth fight.

Brandon Moreno vs. Deiveson Figueiredo 3 – How did it play out?

The trilogy fight between the top two flyweights at UFC 270 was always going to be huge. After showing respect to each other before, there seemed to be bad blood between the two leading up to the third fight.

Both fighters started the fight cautiously. The challenger landed some clean calf kicks on Moreno and didn’t look to engage. Both traded shots throughout the rounds, with ‘Deus da Guerra‘ even landing a few knockdowns on the champion. However, ‘The Assassin Baby’ did land more significant strikes and had the Brazilian wobbly multiple times.

Moreno landed a takedown as well in the final round, which, for many, swung the fight in his favor. However, judges gave the fight to Figueiredo, and both men seemed to have buried the hatchet after the contest.
