UFC Featherweight With 14–0 Record to Return After a Year Off From Fighting

‘Thug Nasty’, last seen in action in October 2020, was sidelined with a hand injury that required surgery. After almost a year on the sidelines because of the injury, Bryce Mitchell is ready to return to action.

The UFC featherweight contender is targeting a January 2022 return, which is in time for the already announced UFC 270 pay-per-view.

Currently #11 in the UFC featherweight rankings, Mitchell defeated Andre Fili in his last outing at UFC on ESPN+ 39 via a unanimous decision. Bryce is currently undefeated in his MMA career. He has a 14-0 professional record, and five wins have come in the UFC.

Mitchell recently reposted a tweet by MMA Junkie and said he would be ready to take on any and every fighter on his return.

Bryce Mitchell – The Return

Ever since his UFC debut, Bryce Mitchell has become one of the most popular fighters on the roster. Having won 9 of his 14 fights via submission, his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu has helped him grow a decent fan base. In his third fight in the UFC against Matt Sayles, Bryce pulled one of the rarest submissions. While on the ground, Bryce put Sayles in a twister submission move in the first round.

This was only the second time a fighter executed a twister submission in the UFC. ‘The Korean Zombie’ was the first one to pull this move off. Chan Sung Jung came up with the submission in his fight against Leonard Garcia at UFC Fight Night 24 in 2011.

Mitchell’s return will definitely create a buzz around the featherweight division, as there are a lot of exciting fights fans can look forward to. The featherweight division of the UFC has some exceptional talent, and Mitchell would look to take on all challengers and get into the Top 10.
