UFC Fight Night 198 will feature a lightweight bout between Fares Ziam and Terrance McKinney in the prelims.

It has been a very topsy-turvy ride for ‘T.Wrecks’ in his MMA career. After being 7-1 in his first eight fights, McKinney got the opportunity to showcase his talent in Dana White’s Contender Series. However, he was on the receiving end of a brutal flying knee. He lost his next fight as well, due to a triangle choke in the first round. But he has found his form back and is on a four-fight win streak. In his last fight, he finished his opponent in just seven seconds of the first round.

Fares Ziam came into the UFC on the back of a five-fight win streak. However, he saw the streak snapped at UFC 242 when he went up against Don Madge. Since then, he has fought twice in the octagon and claimed unanimous decision victories over Jamie Mullarkey and Luigi Vendramini. He will look to put a stop to the hype train of McKinney when they meet.

McKinney has a good overall game. He’s good on the ground and can stand and trade with his opponent as well. His last four victories have come via T/KO and 10 of his wins have come in the first round. He comes out looking for a finish and likes to put on a show for the crowd. He is currently 11-3 in his career and would look to finish his opponent quickly and add to his wins tally.

‘Smile Killer’ is great on his feet. He can trade with his opponents and is also a decent grappler. However, he is not a quick starter and likes to take his time and settle in. With a fighter like McKinney on the other side, that can be dangerous, as he likes to put pressure on his opponents. He is also not as good of a wrestler as ‘T.Wrecks’ and it looks like a difficult matchup for him. His record is 12-3 at the moment.
