When UFC signed Vieira, she was one of the biggest prospects in the women’s bantamweight division. She was on a six-fight winning streak and, after signing with the promotion, she won her first four fights. ‘Fenomeno’ even defeated former title contender Cat Zingano and was 10-0 in her career. However, her impressive run was stopped by Irene Aldana at UFC 245. She lost her last fight as well at UFC Fight Night 185. Vieira is 1-2 in her previous three fights, and a win against Tate, which will be the biggest of her career, will help her bring back the momentum.

Miesha Tate is a former UFC bantamweight champion. After announcing her retirement from the sport in 2016, she shocked everyone by planning to make a return. And a return she made. ‘Cupcake,’ after a five-year hiatus, made a triumphant return against Marion Reneau. She put on an impressive performance and won the fight via TKO in the third round. A convincing win against Vieira will definitely put in the title picture.

UFC Fight Night 198: Ketlen Vieira vs. Miesha Tate
This is the biggest fight of Vieira’s career. Tate is a former champion and one of the biggest names in women’s MMA. ‘Fenomeno’ has wins over Cat Zingano and Sara McMann, who are stylistically similar to Tate. Vieira has a 93 percent takedown defense, which will give her confidence going into the fight. However, a striking accuracy of 37 percent is something she’ll want to be higher in the upcoming fight.

Miesha Tate is an MMA veteran and has proved her mettle before. She made a successful return at UFC Vegas 31 and will look to keep the momentum going. In her return fight, she looked in the best shape of her life and seemed to have improved her striking game as well. She lands her strikes with an accuracy of 43 percent, and her opponent absorbs a decent amount of significant strikes. Tate will look to set up takedowns with her strikes and has a superior skill set.
Even though it’s just her second fight since returning, Tate looks like the better fighter. She would want to get the win in the bag and then try to push for a rematch with Amanda Nunes, to whom she dropped the title.
