UFC Fight Night: Barboza vs Chikadze will see a middleweight match-up between Alessio Di Chirico and Abdul Razak Alhassan go down in the preliminary card. Both fighters are rising contenders of the middleweight division. They will look to catapult on the rankings with a win this weekend.

‘Manzo’ ended his 3-fight skid in his last fight against Joaquin Buckley in January. The Italian earned a stunning head kick knockout finish in his favor. The fight against Alhassan will be his 10th appearance inside the UFC Octagon. He has managed to win 4 out of his 9 fights in the promotion so far.

Alhassan, on the other hand, is currently riding a 3-fight losing streak. Since joining the promotion, he has already fought 8 times inside the Octagon. ‘Judo Thunder’ has managed to get 4 wins so far in his UFC career. However, his recent skid is concerning, and yet another loss might put curtains on his UFC career.

Di Chirico has a professional record of 13-5. He has managed to get 10 finishes in his career so far. 6 T/KO and 4 submission wins comprise those numbers for him.

Alhassan’s record stands at 10-4. The knockout artist has finished all of his wins via knockout in his career so far.

Alessio Di Chirico vs Abdul Razak Alhassan: Analysis

Alhassan joined the UFC as a promising prospect. However, he hasn’t quite been his usual self since joining the promotion. Also, after moving up a division, his performances have been more sluggish. The knockout sensation needs to take a better look at his preparations if he is to bounce back.

Di Chirico, on the other hand, is a much more composed and technical fighter. Alhassan possesses a legit knockout threat for his opponents. But at this point in time, his opponents might not need to worry about that aspect too much.

That can leave Di Chirico the chance to impose his game plan on Alhassan and eventually grind out a decision or even a finish in his favor. But Alhassan has been finished only once in his career and is a durable fighter. So, a decision win is more likely for Di Chirico.
