Before this weekend’s important bantamweight clash, we take a look at the prediction and fight analysis of Jackson vs Strader.
Montel Jackson and Jesse Strader in numbers
The 28-year-old, Jackson, has a professional record of 9-2. He has 6 finishes under his belt with 5 coming by T/KO and 1 by submission.
After dropping a decision against Ricky Simon in his promotional debut at UFC 227, ‘Quik’defeated Brian Kelleher, Andre Soukhamthath, and Felipe Dias Colares on the trot. He submitted Kelleher at UFC 232, which has been his only finish in the UFC.
‘Sui Generis’ has a professional record of 5-1. He has finished 4 out of those 5 fights, all by knockout. Strader’s only career loss came via knockout against UFC newcomer Marcelo Rojo.

Since his loss to Rojo, Strader has managed to rack up two back-to-back finishes over his opponents. He will look to make a name for himself in his UFC debut with a statement performance over ‘Quik’.
However, ‘Quik’ is certainly more battle-tested. What’s more, Jackson has never been finished in his professional career yet. So, that will be put to the test against ‘Sui Generis’ as Jackson will look to weather the early storm from Strader.
He should be able to use his arsenal of skills and turn the fight in his favor in the latter rounds of the contest. Strader is usually a finisher; however, if he can’t get that finish early in the fight, that might leave him vulnerable to Jackson’s own pedigree to finish fights. So, Jackson should be able to get a unanimous decision or even a late finish in the fight.
