Grant Dawson vs. Rick Glenn: An exciting lightweight fight

Grant Dawson is one of the brightest prospects in the UFC right now. ‘KDB’ holds a 17-1 record in his career and is undefeated in his last eight fights. He has an excellent ground game and 11 of his 17 wins have come via submission. It is not a secret that he will try to take the fight to the ground, as he likes being in the top position. Dawson will try to get in and shoot for Glenn’s legs, looking for a takedown. Also, being on a winning streak will help him in entering the fight confident.

Rick Glenn is a man who likes to fight on his feet. Having made his pro-MMA debut back in 2006, he has a wealth of experience. He is a southpaw with impressive striking ability. Glenn’s takedown defense will be tested for sure against a superior grappler in Dawson. ‘The Gladiator’ would need to find his range early in order to land his strikes. One thing that can also benefit him is the clinch. He is quite strong in a clinch and can land heavy strikes from that position. However, Glenn hasn’t been able to get together a winning streak and is 2-2 in his last four fights.

This fight will be a battle of styles, but Dawson’s grappling ability is way superior to Glenn’s. If he is able to take him down, the fight will become very difficult for Glenn.
