The Sydney native, Culibao, made his promotional debut last February. He suffered a second-round T/KO loss against Jalin Turner. A split draw against Charles Jourdain in October left him searching for his first win in the organization. He will look to add to his record of 8-1-1 when he fights Sha this weekend.

‘Wolverine’ Sha has mostly fought in the regional organizations before. This will be his first appearance in a globally renowned promotion. He will make a big jump in terms of competition as he will fight in the grandest stage of all, the UFC. The 27-year-old has a professional record of 19-6.
Out of Culibao’s 8 wins, 5 have come by T/KO. His sole career loss has come via T/KO. Meanwhile, Sha, with 19 wins, has secured 14 finishes (9 T/KO and 5 submissions). He has suffered 6 defeats, four of them coming via submission.

Joshua Culibao vs Yilan Sha: Analysis
Culibao had a really close fight against Jourdain in his last appearance. One can argue that the Australian should have won the contest rather than it being judged a draw. Considering Jourdain’s experience as a UFC fighter and his T/KO win against Marcelo Rojo after that fight, that was in fact a good performance from the Australian.

Meanwhile, Sha, who has been on a tear recently in regional promotions, hasn’t fought against any notable name over the course of his career so far. So, we expect Culibao to make full use of his superior experience of competing in the top tier. He might earn a T/KO win in this contest.
