UFC Fight Night: Hall vs Strickland will see a strawweight match-up between Jinh Yu Frey and Ashley Yoder go down in the preliminary card. Both fighters last fought in March at UFC Fight Night: Edwards vs Muhammad. So, the timeline of the fight certainly makes sense.
Yoder lost her last fight against Angela Hill. In fact, ‘The Spider Monkey’ has won only 3 out of her 9 fights in the UFC. Amanda Bobby Brundage, Syuri Kondo, and recently Miranda Granger have been her only wins in the organization. She hasn’t exactly lived up to the expectations since joining the UFC with a record of 5-1.

Yu Frey, on the other hand, managed to secure her first UFC win in her last appearance against Gloria de Paula. The 36-year-old managed a decision win in what was her third appearance inside the UFC Octagon. The former Invicta FC and Rizin FF fighter will look to catapult herself further in the rankings with a win this weekend as well.

Yoder’s length and reach are a problem for anybody in the division. But size alone shouldn’t be enough to dismantle Yu Frey. She has more solid fundamentals. Yu Frey should be able to put her skills on display and eventually earn a decision win in her favor.
Final prediction: Jinh Yu Frey by decision.
