The Ultimate Fighting Championship will be back in action this weekend with UFC Vegas 40. The event will take place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. An intriguing women’s featherweight title bout will headline the event.

The American women’s fighter, Aspen Ladd, will take on the Brazilian fighter Norma Domont inside the cage on 16th October. Earlier, Holly Holm was scheduled to take on the Brazilian fighter. However, Holm pulled out of the fight because of a knee injury. Thankfully, Ladd agreed to serve as a replacement for Holm.

A win in this five-round gruesome scrap will surely earn both the women’s fighters a title shot next against the champion Amanda Nunes, as there are barely any fighters remaining in the featherweight division of UFC.

Interestingly, both the women’s fighters have only one loss in their professional MMA careers. However, Aspen Ladd is an expert grappler and is known for her ruthless ground and pound. She has finished 67% of her fights. Even though the Brazilian has fewer finishes in her resume, she might control the fight with her pace akin to her previous bouts.

However, she must avoid Ladd from getting on her back. On the other hand, Ladd, with a 75% takedown accuracy, will look to take the Brazilian on the mat and find her moment for an early finish like all her previous wins have that have come within the three rounds of the bout.
