UFC Fight Night: Rozenstruik vs Sakai will see a match-up between Manon Fiorot and Tabatha Ricci go down in the women’s flyweight division. The fight is set to happen on the preliminary card of the event. Former LFA fighter, Ricci, stepped in on short notice after Fiorot’s original opponent, Maryna Moroz, had to pull out days before the event.

The fight against Ricci will be Fiorot’s second appearance inside the UFC Octagon. She earned a second-round T/KO finish over Victoria Leonardo in January. The 31-year-old French fighter has an overall professional record of 6-1. A split-decision loss in her first professional fight is the only stain to her record.

As for Ricci, this will be her first appearance inside the Octagon. The 26-year-old Brazilian has a perfect professional record of 5-0. She has had three finishes in her career. One T/KO and two submission wins rack up those numbers for her.

‘The Beast,’ on the other hand, has a total of five finishes on her resume. All of those finishes have come by T/KO for Fiorot. Both fighters will look to make a good impression with a win in the initial stages of their UFC career.

Manon Fiorot vs Tabatha Ricci: Analysis

‘The Beast‘ is, in fact, a very good fighter. She looked good in her promotional debut in January. Fiorot showed off her impressive striking skills in that fight, and her striking is undoubtedly of good caliber. Also, her grappling is not something to sleep on as she has displayed in her career so far.

As for ‘Baby Shark‘, she has been impressive throughout her short professional career so far. However, she hasn’t been tested against elite competition yet. So she will look to make an impression on her first appearance under the bright lights of the UFC.

Fiorot is a bit more experienced having faced arguably tougher competition in her career so far. Also, her quality as a fighter is pretty evident from what has been on display so far. She might just be too much for Ricci. ‘The Beast’ should outwork her opponent during the contest, eventually winning the rounds and earning a unanimous decision in the process.
