UFC Fight Night: Santos vs Walker will see a light-heavyweight clash between Thiago Santos and Johnny Walker go down in the main event. Both fighters are currently ranked in the top 10 of the division. Either man will look to catapult the rankings with a win this weekend.
Santos, the Brazilian, is currently on a 3-fight skid. Jon Jones, Glover Teixeira, and Aleksandar Rakic have all recently bettered ‘Marreta’ inside the Octagon. Also, his recent knee surgery has hampered his progress massively in the division. The former title challenger could be on a 4-fight skid if he drops another fight this weekend.
As for Walker, he was once considered the new star of the light-heavyweight division and the fighter to defeat Jones. But, he dropped two back-to-back fights before returning to winning ways against Ryan Spann. However, his ability to take a punch still remains questionable.

Both fighters are legit knockout artists, and they throw everything intending to end a fight. Walker is wild and powerful in his approach. While Santos is just a brawler.
Both fighters might hesitate to engage as it will certainly lead to carnage inside the Octagon. They might just avoid that at all costs. Or, they just could decide to leave caution to the wind and swing for the fences from the get-go. It’s hard to say which type of fight the fans are going to get. But, training with John Kavanagh at SBG Ireland might be a good thing for Walker against an aging Santos.
