UFC Fight Night: Font vs. Vera was something that fans held in high regard. An exciting card nonetheless, and Marlon Vera scored an incredible win over Rob Font. He did it spectacularly and earned the respect of many, from fans to UFC fighters and personalities as well. One of the people most appreciative of Vera was none other than UFC color commentator Joe Rogan.

The 54-year-old JRE podcast host was absolutely mesmerized by the Ecuadorian’s performance in the octagon during the fight night. Rogan took to his social media platforms to praise Vera by dedicating an entire post and captioned it, “Huge congratulations to @chitoveraufc on a gigantic win last night! It’s so inspiring watching his hard work pay off! Every time he’s in there he looks better, and last night was a real career highlight.

It was an amazing night for Vera, and the fact that his journey was that much harder in achieving what he did made it all the better. The Ecuadorian thanked the UFC commentator in his comment section, saying, “Thank u Joe for your kind words. I appreciate you a f****** lot” Headlining a UFC event was a dream of Vera’s, and now it has finally come true for the Ecuadorian.

Who will Marlon Vera face next in the Bantamweight division? 

Marlon Vera’s exceptional performance in the octagon only calls for more notoriety in the division. Vera is currently ranked #8 in the UFC bantamweight rankings but will go up higher with his win over Rob Font. ‘Chito’ Vera’s options are limitless, with even a title shot in order if he continues winning over top-ranked opponents in the division.

Some of his next probable opponents in the division are names such as Merab Dvalishvili, Corey Sandhagen, and Jose Aldo. All top names in the division, making Vera’s trajectory only pointed upwards.

Another interesting possibility is Vera fighting former double champ Henry Cejudo if he makes a return to the octagon. Triple C tweeted appreciating Vera’s performance in Fight Night, calling him a real problem. Cejudo stated, “Chito Vera is a Problem with a capital P! I got my eye on you 👀 @chitoveraUFC”

This could be a great fight to watch. Vera would be facing off against one of the most skilled fighters in the bantamweight division. Triple C versus Chito Vera is a true problem to solve, and we say UFC, book it!
