Laura Sanko became the first female commentator in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, after Kathy Long. She made her debut as a UFC commentator at UFC Fight Night 218. The UFC had established her presence in the world of MMA as an analyst and her skills made her one of the best choices for color commentary of the sport.

However, Sanko seemingly allows her tongue to slip, sometimes. During the weigh-ins at UFC 279, ‘Fancy’ made a comment about the featherweight fighter Norma Dumont. Dumont stepped down from the scale and was bending forward to pick up her clothes when Sanko announced that she was ‘driving a dump truck’. Without a doubt, the comment garnered a look from the fighter as she walked away with a seemingly shy smile. Moreover, Daniel Cormier apparently admitted that Sanko’s wild remark was, in fact, true to his knowledge.

A video of the incident has resurfaced on the internet with the caption, “Laura Sanko saying it how it is!” In the video, as Dumont stepped away from the scale and picked up her clothes, Sanko remarked that she was driving a dump truck. She said, “She’s driving a dump truck! My goodness, she’s driving a dump truck!”
