Laura Sanko became the first female commentator in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, after Kathy Long. She made her debut as a UFC commentator at UFC Fight Night 218. The UFC had established her presence in the world of MMA as an analyst and her skills made her one of the best choices for color commentary of the sport.
However, Sanko seemingly allows her tongue to slip, sometimes. During the weigh-ins at UFC 279, ‘Fancy’ made a comment about the featherweight fighter Norma Dumont. Dumont stepped down from the scale and was bending forward to pick up her clothes when Sanko announced that she was ‘driving a dump truck’. Without a doubt, the comment garnered a look from the fighter as she walked away with a seemingly shy smile. Moreover, Daniel Cormier apparently admitted that Sanko’s wild remark was, in fact, true to his knowledge.

I say @laura_sanko is the best commentator since Joe Rogan and am glad she got this role! Especially after I seen that she’s fought and trains in the arts regularly. She should probably be a judge also half of them never even trained I bet! https://t.co/mif4VviKxY
