He wrote, “For visa reasons, Shamil Abdurakhimov is out of the duel against Augusto Sakai, scheduled for May 1st. The Brazilian, now, will face Jairzinho Rozenstruik, in the main fight of the UFC scheduled for June 5.”

Rozenstruik has had a topsy-turvy ride these past few years, ‘Bigi Boy’ had defeated Alistair Overeem via KO at the UFC on ESPN: Overeem vs. Rozenstruik. With that victory, the fighter took his professional MMA record to 10-0, but in his very next fight, he lost to present UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou.

Many people thought it would be really difficult for the fighter to come back from such a defeat, but Rozenstruik bounced back and won his UFC 252 fight against former champion Junior dos Santos. This victory seemed like it would propel Rozenstruik’s position in the heavyweight division, although a severe loss against Ciryl Gane in his very next fight hurt his chances.

What to expect from the fight between Jairzinho Rozenstruik and Augusto Sakai?

Where ‘Bigi Boy’ is coming off a loss against Gane, his opponent in his last match saw his 6 matches winning streak ended. Sakai faced Overeem at UFC Fight Night: Overeem vs Sakai and lost the match via TKO. Previous to this fight, the fighter was in outstanding form winning all four of his UFC fights and the Dana White Contender Series Brazil 1 fight against Marcos Conrado.

Both heavyweight fighters have lost their last fights, which makes them even more dangerous, and both of them would look to beat their opponents. A victory for either of the fighters will benefit them, as both these fighters are ranked in the Top 10 of the UFC Heavyweight rankings.
