Buckley, on the other hand, has already fought 4 times in the UFC. After a debut loss to Kevin Holland, Buckely managed to score two back-to-back sensational knockout wins over Impa Kasanganay and Jordan Wright. His spinning back kick knockout over Kasanganay was considered to be one of the best knockouts in the history of the UFC.

However, he was on the receiving end of a sensational head kick finish by Alessio Di Chirico in his last fight. Buckley is currently 2-2 in the UFC. But the former Bellator MMA and LFA fighter has shown the immense promise he has already. He will look to bounce back from his loss when takes on Arroyo next.

The 32-year-old Arroyo is still searching for his first win inside the UFC Octagon. He appeared twice in the Dana White’s Contender Series and won both times before earning a UFC contract. However, his life at the promotion hasn’t exactly gotten the start he would have wanted. Two decision losses against Andre Muniz and Daron Winn have hampered his progress in the 185 lbs division of the UFC.

Joaquin Buckley vs Antonio Arroyo: early prediction

Arroyo is a very well-rounded fighter. He has good hands and has the ground game to keep up with his opponents if the fight hits the mat. His professional record stands at 9-4 with 8 finishes. 4 T/KO and 4 submission wins comprise those numbers for him.

Buckley is a very skilled fighter as well. But he clearly prefers the striking aspect much more. His record is an impressive 12-4 with 9 T/KO finishes. He would like to keep the fight standing and land one of his spectacular moves on his Brazilian counterpart. If he manages to do so, it might be yet another finish in Buckley’s book.
