Recently, the UFC released a scintillating poster for the UFC 257 main-event. The two fighters previously faced each other in a featherweight clash at UFC 178, back in 2014.
McGregor got the better of Poirier, as he knocked out the Louisiana native in less than 2 minutes. But the rematch is touted to be a completely different fight from their first meeting.
Poirier has sharpened himself immensely over the years, training at American Top Team. He has also tasted UFC gold when he defeated Max Holloway for the interim lightweight championship at UFC 236.

McGregor, on the other hand, has become a two-division world champion since. He also set the record for the fastest win in a UFC title fight when he knocked out Jose Aldo in 13 seconds at UFC 194.

The Irishman went on to face Floyd Mayweather in the boxing ring after capturing the UFC lightweight belt. After his loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov in 2018, McGregor returned last year at UFC 246 and knocked out Donald Cerrone in 40 seconds.
Conor McGregor vs Dustin Poirier 2 will be in Fight Island
The UFC recently confirmed that the first pay-per-view of 2021 will take place in Fight Island, Abu Dhabi. They have also made plans for an international fight week during the event.
