The story of Nate Diaz and his altercation with a Russian fighter in Thailand gained a lot of traction over the past few days. Jon Jones, who’s also there for the Russian Version of TUF, ‘ALF Global Reality’, shared an account of the whole situation. He claimed that his opposition coach, the Stockton native, may have already had some issues with Russian fighters, which led to the altercation. However, he claims that it wasn’t really Diaz’s fault.

“Play fighting with Nate was not the best idea,” said Jon Jones about the Nate Diaz altercation. It seems like a couple of UFC legends also feel like there’s nothing to get mad about the former UFC star. That’s because he wasn’t the aggressor in the situation, as the Russian tried to choke Diaz out. With the way things played out, Paul Felder claims that he wasn’t surprised by how things went down.

During a recent episode of the Believe You Me podcast, Paul Felder said, “What do you think was gonna happen when you invite Nate Diaz to be in a house full of fighting people?” To add to his statement, co-host Michael Bisping narrated the turn of events after the altercation. As Nate Diaz slapped the fighter, who appeared intoxicated, in retaliation, the showrunners showed Diaz the door. It was also the same fighter, Zalimkhan Yusupov, with whom Jon Jones enjoyed a night out in Thailand.

“Chechens and Russians, right? Altogether, in a big group, they’re drinking alcohol. Like, the one dude that Jon Jones, he was on the back of his motorbike, apparently, they’ve been out on a heavy night out,” said Michael Bisping” The guy comes in, and he looks like he’s drunk. He starts messing around. You can see he’s never fought a day in his life, but he’s backed by a bunch of Russians and Chechens. Diaz slaps him. All hell hits the fan.”

It’s not the first time that Nate Diaz reportedly got into a brawl. There have been numerous instances, and according to Michael Bisping, even if fans wonder why the Stockton native hasn’t learnt his lesson, the showrunners should have expected that as the whole house was full of fighters. ‘The Count’ added, “You can sit here and you can say, ‘What is Nate Diaz doing? When is he going to learn? When is he going to grow up?’ But Nate Diaz has always been like that. So what do you think is going to happen?”

Nate Diaz will be happy to see that he has the support of these two UFC legends. Guess what? The Stockton native has another reason to be happy because another legend, Chael Sonnen, was willing to help him out to rectify the situation. Here’s what he had to say.

Chael Sonnen wanted to visit Thailand and defend Nate Diaz

Chael Sonnen may have been having some issues with Islam Makhachev after criticizing the latter’s welterweight move, but he seems to have no problem with Nate Diaz getting into another brawl, and this time, in Thailand. The video clips of that brawl are now available on social media, and Sonnen watched how things started. He didn’t seem to like the way the Russian fighters tried to trap the ex-UFC star and his team.

What’s your perspective on:

With legends backing him, is Nate Diaz justified in his actions, or is it time to grow up?

Have an interesting take?

Claiming that he’s willing to throw down some fisticuffs if such incidents happen again, Chael Sonnen said, “I just saw a video in Thailand where some guys cornered Nate Diaz, and I’ve got a lot of problems with this video,” on YouTube. ” I’m just letting you know, if that happens again – you can take this however you want to take this – If that happens again there’s going to be an issue.”

Well, there’s support pouring in from left, right, and centre for Nate Diaz, but he’s not really worried about that. The only thing that concerns him right now is making a comeback to the UFC, and that is possible since Dana White hasn’t closed the door on him. Regardless, let us know what you think about the brawl and who was in the wrong in that situation in the comments down below.
