There is no doubt that UFC champion Charles Oliveira is one of the best MMA fighters the world has seen. His title defense against Dustin Poirier was a spectacular fight and Oliveira’s grappling skills were at the finest. While he is a beast inside the ring, there is another side to his persona that many fans may not know of.

In a few pictures that were shared by UFC lightweight Terrance McKinney on Twitter, Oliveira was seen helping those in need by giving them food. McKinney wrote, “He’s a champ inside and outside the cage”. It seems Oliveira’s compassion impressed McKinney too. However, these pictures are from a year ago.

In a short video from about a year ago, Oliveira was seen carrying packs of food in the Favelas of Brazil. Reportedly, this happened a few days before Christmas. This would have certainly put a smile on many faces. Several fans on social media were happy to see Oliveira care so much about his country and its people.

‘Do Bronx’ has proved that he definitely has the heart of a champion. Coming from a similar situation himself, he understands the hardships that people go through. Hence, this is not his only act of giving back to society.

Charles Oliveira: His charity work

Dustin Poirier is another UFC fighter who is known for his charity work. After his loss against Oliveira, he offered to donate about $20,000 to a charity of Oliveira’s choice. The champion said that we would use the money for his community.

Fans recently also saw Oliveira promoting Poirier’s hot sauce. So it is clear that there is only respect between both the fighters. This speaks loads about the kind of people both the fighters are. Pure class!

Charles Oliveira has proven that he is the people’s champ. Fans all over the world are excited to see him defend his title soon.
