Paddy Pimblett and Ilia Topuria had an altercation at the UFC London fighter’s hotel, which saw both fighters throw things at each other.

It initially looked like two fighters had crossed paths and engaged in a verbal confrontation that turned violent. However, that was not the case.

On MMA Journalist Ariel Helwani’s The MMA Hour show, Topuria gave the origin of his beef with ‘The Baddy‘.

‘El Matador’ said, “It didn’t happen because he told me something, yesterday. It comes from a long time ago. He was arguing with one of my close friends, with Guram, once in Twitter, and he post like ‘Now I understand why Russia destroyed Georgia because you are dumps,’ and it makes my blood boil.”

“I text to him. I don’t remember what I tweet. And when they give me to fight in London, he texts me three weeks ago. Like, I can’t wait to see you in London; We’ll see if you have the b**ls to tell me everything. You text me on Twitter. Bulls***,” Topuria added.

Topuria did not appreciate the remarks about his friend’s country, where he also has spent a lot of time. Thus, he confronted ‘The Baddy’ the moment he saw him.

Though “El Matador” provided his side of the situation, ‘The Baddy’ was dismissive of Topuria in his pre-fight press conference.

Consequently, Pimblett referred to the Climent Club creation as ‘Hand Sanitizer Boy’. About the confrontation, the Scouser said, “He got put in his place, lad. I was stood there on me own and there was about six of them, and he has done none.”

However, Pimblett didn’t touch on Topuria’s claims.

Nevertheless, both fighters need to focus on their opponents for this Saturday’s UFC London. While Pimblett will fight Kazula Vargas, Topuria will look to extend his unbeaten run against Jai Herbert.
