The Schmo is a popular journalist in the fight game and revolves most of his work around the UFC. His most recent interview featured UFC fighter Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett, who has been in the spotlight as of recently. The two go over a couple of topics, after which The Schmo asks him about social media star Logan Paul’s callout to fight him.

Pimblett responded by saying, “ I know he’s a lot bigger than me like for …. I don’t think it really matters to be honest. I think I’d submit him quite easily and quite quickly. But you never know, anything can happen in a fight. But if Logan Paul does ever want the fight, I’m I’m I’m open to hearing what numbers he’s coming at us with.”

The Callout and What Will Follow

Logan Paul has expressed his will to fight in the UFC multiple times before, even on his podcast with Dana White. He first called out Pimblett in an interview with Ariel Helwani. Although there is a huge size difference between the two, Paul feels that 185 pounds would be a fair weight-class for them to fight at.

Despite the fact that Paul is a social media influencer, he showcased his boxing skills in his last exhibition fight with the boxing legend, Floyd Mayweather. He proved his haters wrong by taking on arguably the world’s best boxer, and lasting the entire 8 rounds. Paul was also a very talented wrestler in his early days, finishing fifth in the OHSAA State Championship, 2013. With these credentials, it would make sense for him to try to compete in the UFC

Although there has been no official confirmation from the UFC, don’t be surprised if this fight ends up happening. The American star has already fought big names, including Floyd Mayweather and British Youtuber KSI. He also can sell pay-per-views(PPVs), as seen in his previous fights, which shattered records.

Adding to this, Dana White has previously mentioned that he isn’t against Paul joining the UFC. White has also publically praised his skills on several occasions. The numbers will have to make sense for Dana to book this fight.

Although the UFC rarely allows individuals with such less experience to compete, it is not outside the realm of possibility for this fight to be booked. Will the American superstar end up facing Pimblett in the octagon?
