The tweet reads, “Paddy Pimblett hospitalised with with severe obesity due to eating 2 tons of cake in one day”

However, the source of the news is a parody account – MMAFPress. The MMAFPress is notorious for creating stories that are far from reality. However, their tweets often get reactions from fighters and MMA fans around the world.

Usually, MMAFPress‘ news is about big implications or context towards active MMA topic, hence fans overlook the authenticity of the source and fell into the trap. However, Costa knew what he was doing when he posted the news.

The top middleweight, Costa, has been raising his Twitter game; Recently, he also posted a photo of Logan Paul from WrestleMania. He quoted, “We have a hero now.” Even this got a lot of attention from the fans.

Also, he had taken a dig at rising middleweight contender Sean Strickland with an unusual meme.

Also, his infamous ‘wine’ and ‘sign the contract’ comments to Israel Adesanya after the bout created some noise.

What’s next for Paulo Costa inside the Octagon?

‘Borrachinha’ is currently having the roughest patch of his professional MMA career. After going 13-0, Costa dropped back-to-back bouts to middleweight champion Israel Adesanya in the championship bout and a light heavyweight showdown against Marvin Vettori.

Costa even missed weight for the Vettori fight. Thus, inside the Octagon, Costa is not having the same time as on his social accounts.
