UFC President Dana White Wants No Part in Conor McGregor’s “Drug Stuff”

Despite being away from the Octagon for a substantial time period, Conor McGregor is always there at a UFC press conference. Journalists mentioned Conor McGregor in a question in the post-fight media interaction at UFC 282. Reporters asked UFC President Dana White about Conor McGregor being out of the USADA pool by a journalist. Dana white sidestepped the question by dissociating himself from “Drug Stuff”. Conor McGregor’s not being in the USADA testing pool is the biggest roadblock in Conor McGregor’s comeback. He needs to be in the pool for six months and clear at least two tests.

A journalist asked Dana White if the UFC was figuring out a way to stop fighters from skirting the regulations. She also mentioned medications involved in post-surgery recovery for serious injuries.

Responding to the queries, Dana white responded with measured words. He didn’t respond straight and deflected the question onto Jeff Novitzky.

He said, “you will have to ask Jeff Novitzky about that. I don’t get involved in drug stuff anymore. I stay far away from drug stuff. He is much smarter than me when it comes to that shit, so the question is for him.” He also said that the shin bone fracture was the only injury he saw that needed recovery like that.

The USADA testing pool woes are the biggest roadblocks in Conor McGregor’s comeback. He had earlier tweeted about being available for USADA testing in February, which makes it clear that he will not be fighting till deep 2023. He has been out of the octagon since July 2021.

Reporters also asked about the prospects of a Conor McGregor vs Michael Chandler fight. White said that the fight was a possibility with a lot of factors falling into place. He denied any kind of progress or confirmation about the fight. White also talked about media houses creating unnecessary rumors.
