Dana White has been teasing the MMA community with several announcements lately. The UFC CEO through his recent outings has breathed life into the tumultuous comeback of Conor McGregor. Initially, the UFC head honcho asserted that the promotion would not be taking McGregor seriously until he gets himself better after the UFC 300 fiasco and even declared that McGregor might not come back to the Octagon by the end of this year. However, despite all the hubbub, Dana White appears to have news and alongside Michael Chandler, Charles Oliveira is excited about it as well. Intriguing, isn’t it?

Daniel Cormier’s honest take on the announcement

“We talked about Conor today. We got Conor news coming up. We’ve got Conor news coming up, we’ve got (Charles) Oliveira news coming up, we’ve got (Michael) Chandler news coming up, we’ve got Max Holloway news coming up, all that good sh-t coming soon,” said Dana White on his Instagram live. The magnitude of the announcement is huge in itself as the fight could potentially revive the lightweight division’s aura.

The former light-heavyweight as well as heavyweight champion, Daniel Cormier took to his YouTube handle to give his honest opinion, “Dana White made a big announcement yesterday talking about he’s got big fights coming up for Chandler, Volk, Charles, and Conor, surprisingly. He said that Conor was not gonna fight in this calendar year. Still, there is no card for December. Vegas is where the fight card will take place in December. Conor McGregor needs to fight in Vegas. He will fight Michael Chandler seemingly. So, it seems as though when the boss went public instead and started to say, ‘Well, this guy is not fighting’, it almost lit a fire in Conor McGregor. It seems like we’re getting closer and closer.”
